WRAP → FEET
Same letter, same place in FEET
- 01
Start with the word on your board
Open Feetle Unlimited to begin a practice round. Your target is always FEET. You can play free in your browser without downloading an app or creating an account.
- 02
Change one letter, then submit
Keep three letters in their original positions and change the fourth to make another accepted word. Type with your keyboard or tap a letter position and use the screen keys. Press Enter to add your word to the ladder.
- 03
Keep going until you reach FEET
Build from the latest word in your ladder. If you get stuck, Hint suggests a next word and Undo removes your last move. A green letter matches FEET in that position, but you can still change it.
- 04
Compare your route and play again
After reaching FEET, compare your move count with Shortest route and check how many hints you used. Choose Another practice round to get a different starting word. There is no wait for a daily reset.
From WORD to FEET, in five moves.

One letter changes in every step.
Build a bridge between word families
Start with WORD. Change W to F to make FORD, then R to N to make FOND. Neither move needs to produce a word that looks almost like FEET. Each just needs to be a valid next step. FOND gives you a useful opening: changing O to E makes FEND.
From FEND, change N to E for FEED, then D to T for FEET. Six words make five moves: the starting word does not count as a move. Every word in this example is accepted by the Feetle word list, and five moves is the shortest route from WORD.
Check the positions, not just the letters
FOND to FEND changes only the second position, so it works. FOND to FEED changes both the second and third positions, so you cannot skip FEND. You also cannot rearrange the letters as a shortcut. If a guess is rejected, your current ladder stays in place so you can edit the word and try again.
Look for several exits
Before submitting a word, try changing each of its four positions in your head. A word with several familiar neighbours gives you more options on the next turn. If you can see only one way forward, follow it for a move or two and use Undo if it leads back to words you have already tried.
Work backwards from the last move
FEED, FEEL, FELT, BEET and MEET can each become FEET in one move. Try connecting your current word to one of those endings. You do not have to commit to the first ending you spot: a route toward FEED may be awkward while a route through FELT is easier to see.
Finish a route, then study the detour
For your first few rounds, aim to reach FEET without worrying about the shortest route. Afterwards, compare the two move counts. During a later round, try naming two possible next words before choosing one. Green letters are useful landmarks, not locked tiles; you may change a matching letter to reach a more useful word.
Use a hint to learn one connection
Hint fills the next-word entry with a suggested step toward FEET. Look at which position changed, then press Enter to use it or edit the suggestion to try another route. Asking again from the same word does not add another hint to your count. Asking from a different word does.
Undo a move or restart the same puzzle
While a round is in progress, Undo removes the last word. Restart takes you back to the original starting word after confirmation. Both keep the hints you have already used in that round. Restart is useful when you want a second attempt at the same ladder rather than a different starting word.
Reveal the route or leave this round
Reveal route ends your attempt and shows a shortest continuation from your current word to FEET. A revealed round is not a solved round. If you would rather try something else, choose New word and confirm. After a finished or revealed round, Another practice round starts the next puzzle directly.
Four letters, one changed position
Every move needs four letters and must appear in this game’s accepted word list. A word you know from another dictionary or word game may not be included here. Use the word checker to check it, then compare it with your current word: being in the list does not make a two-letter change legal.
A playable start every round
Unlimited chooses starting words that have a route to FEET. Their shortest solutions are between three and seven moves, although your own route can take more moves. New word avoids the starting word you just played. Earlier starting words can return in later rounds, so unlimited play does not mean an endless supply of unique words.
Feetle Unlimited vs the daily challenge
Choose Unlimited when you want another ladder or room to experiment. Choose Daily when you want the same starting word as other players and the option to compare published scores. Both use the same four-letter rules and always end at FEET.

Feetle Unlimited FAQ
Is Feetle Unlimited free, and do I need to sign in?
Yes, you can play free without signing in. Open the board in your browser and start a word ladder. You need JavaScript enabled to play. An account is optional for the daily leaderboard; it is not needed to start or finish Unlimited rounds.
Will my practice progress be saved?
Your current round is saved in this browser when browser storage is available. Refreshing or coming back can resume it. Clearing browser data or using a different browser or device will not carry that round over. If storage is blocked, you can still play, but progress may be lost when you leave.
Will playing Unlimited replace my daily puzzle progress?
No. Daily and Unlimited keep separate current rounds. Use the Daily tab above the board to return to your daily challenge, then the Unlimited tab to return to practice. Choosing New word replaces the current practice round, so finish it first if you want to keep working on that ladder.
Do Unlimited results count toward the daily leaderboard?
No. Unlimited rounds are practice rounds, even when you finish without hints or match the shortest route. To publish a daily score, play the daily challenge, solve it, sign in and choose to publish your result. Signing in alone does not publish a score.
Can I send a friend the exact puzzle I just played?
Copy result shares your result with a link to Feetle Unlimited. That link opens practice; it does not load your exact starting word for your friend. If you want to compare the same puzzle, play the daily challenge on the same UTC day.
Why have I seen the same starting word before?
Unlimited lets you keep playing without a daily limit, but it draws from a finite set of starting words. Each new round avoids the immediately previous start. Words from earlier rounds can appear again, giving you another chance to find a shorter route or use fewer hints.
