Why some English words do not work
This is a game dictionary, not a complete English reference. Some unusual forms, names, abbreviations and variants are absent. Some uncommon words are included. If your word is rejected, use the checker to distinguish a dictionary issue from a move that changes two letters.
The game’s starts come from the connected group of words that can reach FEET. During a valid round, a one-letter move keeps you in that group. A listed word outside it cannot be reached from a playable start.
