Feetle Privacy Policy: Accounts, Cookies & Public Scores

You can play without an account. Publishing a result is a separate choice.

Guest play and essential storage

Daily play sets an essential HttpOnly cookie containing a random browser identifier. The server stores a hash of that identifier with the puzzle date, accepted route, hints, status and update times. This allows a refresh in the same browser to recover the daily round. The guest cookie lasts up to one year unless you clear it.

Practice saves the current round and up to 50 recent rounds in local browser storage when available. These records are visible in your account page on this browser and do not sync with Google. Clearing browser site data removes these local copies and the guest cookie. An anonymous server record cannot be recovered after its cookie is lost.

Google sign-in

If you sign in, Google provides account identity information such as your email address, name, verification status and profile image. The authentication system stores your account and session records, including session expiry, and may store session IP address and browser information. Essential session cookies keep you signed in. We do not provide email/password login.

Google processes the sign-in under its own policies. We use Cloudflare to host the service and database. Infrastructure providers may process request information to operate and secure their services.

What becomes public

Only after you confirm publication do we add your selected nickname, step count and hint count to a dated leaderboard. Your rank is calculated from those scores. The public board does not include your Google email, profile image, saved route or account identifier. Choose a nickname that does not reveal information you want to keep private.

Retention and deletion

Published results and account data are retained while the account exists. You can delete your account from the account page after signing in; this removes its authentication records and published leaderboard entries. A recent sign-in may be required.

Guest game records are stored separately from accounts and are not automatically associated with your Google identity before publication. The “Delete daily game history” control below deletes guest attempts and any published scores attached to those attempts. Clearing browser cookies alone does not delete server records. No automatic guest-record retention deadline is currently configured.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand visits to public Feetle pages. We send page addresses without query strings or fragments, and limit referral information to the source website and, for our own public pages, the page path. We do not send your entered words, saved route, leaderboard nickname, email address or account identifier. Sign-in and account pages are excluded. Google may process browser and device information as part of providing Analytics.

Analytics cookies are off by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland until you allow them; elsewhere they are on unless you decline. Where consent has not been granted, Google may receive limited measurements without analytics cookies. Use Analytics settings in the footer to allow or decline analytics at any time. Declining stops further measurements and removes this site’s analytics cookies without changing your game progress or sign-in.

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser. If browser storage is unavailable, the settings panel explains that your choice may not be remembered on future visits. Analytics cookies expire after 60 days, and Google Analytics event data retention is set to two months. Google signals, advertising personalization and automatic form or search tracking are disabled. This site does not run advertising scripts, marketing email subscriptions or payment processing.

Delete daily game history

Remove daily games played in this browser and their published leaderboard results. Your account and practice rounds stay.
